Why does my cursor (arrow) get immobilized (stops moving) no matter what I do with the mouse, and the only thing that gets it going is shutting down and restarting.
What is there to do?
Is it a problem with my computer or my mouse?

I did and there are no "problem" programs.

I did and I got "Blue Screen" (right after loading the free AdAware) which I haven't seen on this computer in a while.

how old is your comp?
do you take care of it? I.e. clean, defragment, antivirus?
did you download or installed any new programs that might interfere with the system?
you can try to use the troubleshooting utility in windows, walk through the steps.
also, check out http://www.smartcomputing.com/.....guid= for more ideas
