I'm treating myself to a new blender.

I need some ideas for different types of Shakes.

What kind do you make?

Can you share your recipes?

a cup of skim milk or soymilk, 3-4 ice cubes, cut-up banana, peaches, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple--any one or any combo thereof. If the fruit is not very sweet, some honey or sweetener. whirl till thick and frothy. You can also add some plain or vanilla yogurt for a bit of extra nutrition.

or omit the fruit and use instant coffee or peppermint extract and some sweetener.

do not try kiwi--it will curdle the milk--and do not use raw eggs unless they have been pasteurized.

Freeze bananas (without the peel), frozen stawberries, frozen grapes, fresh grapes, peaches, plums, melon, etc... Whichever fruit you have available...

And then milk or plain/vanilla yoghurt.

And add some sugar if neccesary.

Would any of the above stay for a day for the Milchig Shevuos meal, without change in taste?

The air would escape and you'd be left with just a liquid mess. What makes them great is the frothiness and thickness, which come from the air incorporated into them. They'll taste OK the next day, but the fruits will have oxidized into an unappealing color, the solids will have settled to the bottom and the supernatant liquid will just be fruit-flavored milk. eh. You could put it into a big screw-cap jar and shake it up again to restore some froth, but it won't be the same.

I use plain kefir (or some milk and plain low-fat yougurt if I am out of kefir), banana, and frozen raspberries.

Vanilla soy milk with frozen fruit - we like mangoes, strawberries, and blueberries. If you use frozen fruit, you don't need to add ice.
