I'm trying to teach my boys tha when mummy goes into the dr for herself they wait outside, I started with a regular dr because I don't want to get stuck at a gyncologist that they come in with me, the only thing is that my 7 year old boy wont hear of it and still insist on coming in with me or maks a fus. I have the same problem with the mikva as well.

Have you tried a babysitter?
Assuming all is well, you probably don't go to the dr that often and depending on the time of year your dh is probably home when you go to mikveh...so why not get a babysitter when those times are necessary.
Also, if your son is 7, why don't you go to the dr while he is in school?

it doesn't always work like that halevia, 1. dh works till late so I try to go to the mikva when they are in bed, the only problem it occurs is friday night or motzei shabbos that he will decide that he has to come with me and not go to shul with my husband. as for dr's well sometimes the dr is only available in the afternoon the one you need and of course even if I tell him to play with friends well he knows his way to the clinic and rides his bike and before you know it he's there not to mention rosh chodesh when in israel evryone ends at one, so a babysitter for him wont work. funny the younger one is better than him about it.
