I never bake anymore unless we have sleepover guests. Otherwize, I eat it all. This Shabbos, we had a guest so I took out a pound cake from the freezer that I had made with leftover batter from a recent cake. I put chocolate frosting on it & sliced almonds. Only 2 pieces went so it went back into the freezer.

I was hosting a shabbos shiur for women, so I made choc chip cookies, fruit salad, and the best and easyiest trifle ever!
I made a dunkin hines choc cake, instant pudding (with soy milk) and rich's whip - layer cake, pudding, whip 2x, and it's so delicious! Everyone loved it, and it looks so fancy!

Otherwise I make Cakes:
marble choclolate, fudge-brownie ,coconut ,white choc chip cake. Sometimes an icecream or jelly roll though not often to much patcke though timewise way less.
Cookies: Choc chip , Basic sugar, oatmeal , gingerbread , sandwich.

I used "royal" brand, and it's cook and serve, I tried the real instant, and it did not thicken - no problems with the cook and serve.

so it's not instant pudding. (instant means you put eveything together mix and wait and it thickens) but cook works. That's good to know thanks. And you have a nice trifle bowl? I should eventually get one of those. What I'd also like is if they had plastic individual trifle bowls.

For me, anything is instant if it comes from a box, no measuring required!!
I got my trifle bowl from bed, bath, and beyond, not expensive at all, I think $15, less a coupon.
Individual bowls is a cute idea - I'll have to look for them.....
I guess you can use tall plastic glasses?
