need inspiration to be more focused and present with my small kids-thispost can also be relevant to moms who's kids arejust older now and they miss when they were little
what are the litttle things about having little ones do you miss the most

I miss supper with a full table. I miss bedtime-- baths and then reading books and letting everyone pick one. I miss knowing exactly where each kid is all the time. I miss having them come home and being there to hear about their day.
And I still have a little one.
But I miss that busy all the time with my kids feeling.

I just made hamenstaschen by myself because my kids are too old (too busy) to bake with me and my grandchildren are too young. It was kind of lonely, though I admit it's much faster and neater this way.
Each stage has its advantages. When you have little ones at home, you need to remember that the days are long but the years are short.
