I assume a woman teacher.
Here goes:
Dear Mrs. _______________________,
To a teacher so special and dear,
Such devotion and warmth is so rare.
You make learning so sweet.
Every day is a treat.
We are glad you teach __________________ this year!

HAPPY CHANUKAH!!

If you're going to spend a few dollars on lottery ticket, maybe you are better off spending the few dollars on a gift card to a coffee shop (think kosher dunkin donuts or similar).

This is completely meaningless. You'd be better off writing nothing.

1-2 genuine sentences is all you need.

idiotic rhymes are just stupid, meaningless and borderline offensive.

I agree, I always throw out rhyming cards.. the ones I keep are the ones from the heart, however short they may be.

Maybe have your kid help you write something, so it can be more personalized?

Dear Mrs. Teacher
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for all that you do every day to give dd a wonderful school experience. She is having a wonderful year in your class, and is learning so much. We greatly appreciate all your hard work, and hope that you will share in our nachas as our dd learns and grows.
Have a freilichin chanukah!
All the best,
Mr and Mrs parents

I was the teacher that got some backlash a week ago in a different thread.
I mostly got told of for the extreme sounding words I used, which were just because I was venting. Don't worry, I'm not bother to NO END, I just wishful hope for the best kind of thank you cards.

Here is how you write the best thank you cards: you start and end with generic thank you, like someone posted above, BUT...

You think about what 2-3 aspects of this teacher's personality off techniques, methods, creativity mean a lot to you and your child.
For example:
Certain songs taught that your child sings all the time
A social program that really helped him or her
A cake baked each week connecting to the parsha
Distribution of rebbi cards and emphasis on kavod torah
Sticker for accuracy in math and for good handwriting
A unique incentive program that students are excited about
Teacher being available to parent and worked well collaborating with parents
The funny accents used and jokes told by the teacher to make class fun
A specific area of knowledge that child grew a lot in with this teacher
The structure of the classroom

..Basically anything that makes the teacher stand out to you and or your child.

The middle of your paragraphs should be the SPECIFIC things you appreciate about this specific teacher.t
Hatzlacha!!!

And a personal note from the student is so special!!

Even my first grader has written personal notes. I help her plan what she wants to write, help her organize her thoughts, and write it for her so the words are spelled correctly, and she rewrites it in her handwriting. She works for a really long time in it, so out will be beautiful.
And the note sounds like she wrote it, just with words spelled correctly. I don't change her words, as long as they make sense.

I once got a very funny, out-of-the-box mishloach manos from a student. Her mother was embarrassed, but it was unique and personal and gave me the message she wanted to give over- how much she loves me and my class!!! Smile
As weird as it was, out was so much more meaningful than the chocolate mints, pistachios, and sparkling grape juices packaged so beautifully and elegantly.
