What games would you recomend for a bright 6 yo and 4 1/2 yo who are obsessed with Rummykub (to give you an idea of their preferences and abilities)? My il's are coming and want to know what to get them.
(Btw, they are GOOD at Rummykub! They regularly beat me and DH [we are NOT just being nice] and we are not half bad ourselves!)

Gee, Ima'la I was gonna say Candyland and Chutes and Ladders... Your children sound a little beyond those games, ... and very bright, indeed. What about Upwords, Go to the Head of the Class or good ole' Checkers?

Thanks for all the ideas! What is tangram? And can you please remind me what kinds of questions they ask in "Go the the Head of the Class?"

Greenfire's idea of monopoly is a good one because there is a junior version for kids under 10 that has easier math and reading. One of my kids taught himself math by constantly playing monopoly with anyone who would play it with him. He got popular by teaching other kids in his class.
Remember that any game they are not ready for can be "grown into".
