This may sound weird but DH and I were discussing this with rebbeim. One of my son's rebbeim his parents are one of the wealthiest Jewish families in the US. They live in a huge mansion and drive the latest cars. The other rebbe is a living like a typical rebbe.
Dh was saying he feels that we don't have to stretch ourselves as far to give the "rich" rebbe more.
We are very very tight on money, but want to do as much as we can for our kids teachers.
Just curious if that is also an cheshbon.
