Where's the safest place to keep a lit long burning candle (so I can light my gas stove)? No young children here but from a fire safety standpoint.

Yes the small self contained yarzeit candles are the best bet. Set it over a metal or glass tray. We buy the 3 day candle so it lasts through the full days (sometimes the 2 day candles don't last the full 48 hours).
