The book "Forever my Jerusalem" is a wonderful book to read , by Puah Steiner
As a child she was evacuated from the Old City in 1948. She speaks of the yearning during those long 19 years.
b"h for what we have and now we can just await the Geulah Shleimah!

I couldn't open the link. Is it the soldiers running to the Kosel and dancing and singing Yerushalayim shel Zahav? Just thinking about this gives me goosebumps and makes me cry. In a good way!

Yes and Rav Goren blowing the shofar and saying shehechaynu.

It's very inspiring. I am so fortunate to live in EY.

That does call for a smile, to have the same reaction and for it not to dull with time.
And ftr, my favorite benscher, the Nevarech illustrated benscher that made the simcha rounds 15 years ago, has a picture of Rabbi Goren blowing the shofar for Al Hanisim.
