best size pan to make crepes in or should I use a crepe maker?
never made crepes before.

The larger the pan, the more "authentic" it is, but also the more difficult to make crêpes with an even surface
We use medium sized pans, about 25cm wide
Crêpe maker is bad, you can't "jump" them.

You can use your standard 10" nonstick pan.

I never oil the pan when making crepes. I just add a little oil in the batter.
