Im looking to purchase a sewing machine. I want a realy simple basic one to use. Good for alterations and some basic kid skirts. Or crafts projects. Nothing fancy or electronic. Can you recommend a sewing machine model?
Thanx

Brother 17 Stitch Sewing Machine, JX2517
It's a very basic $69 machine. Just remember to sew slowly because it doesn't handle to much stress... Otherwise its really good for the things you need.

I have a Brother 80 stitch sewing machine that I got 5-6 years ago for $100. It was on sale. I'm very happy with it.
