Mattress recommendations

I need to buy a double/full size mattress for a guest room. I'm overwhelmed by the choices. It would be so helpful to have recommendations on where to buy, brand to buy, and type to buy. What "firmness" do you suggest for a guest bed. My parents will be sleeping in the bed when visiting from out of town - sometimes they stay a couple weeks. So I want it to be comfortable but not too expensive as its not a bed for everyday use.

Recommendations for where to buy linen is also appreciated! TIA!

Call your parents and find out what they prefer in terms of firmness, since they will be the ones who use it the most. Then purchase something in your budget.

The 'direct to consumer' mattress (one firmness for all) is very popular now, if that fits your budget. Tuft & Needle, for example is highly rated.
