There's a thread written by a wife who has a depressed spouse....

1-Were they depressed before they got married?
2-Did you know about it? How do you feel about it?

Those that got depressed after marriage:
1- Did Parnasa pressures do it, or health issues, or having to get along with a spouse, raising children?
2- If you had it to do over, what would you have done differently?

What's your opinion?

I think its everything together.
Boys are not prepared enough for life and then they have to earn a living, raise kids, help sometimes at home and itsjust too much for some of them who come from a yeshieve, never had any worries or anyone to care for...

And how are we prepared? The only thing that makes sense, is that we are more with the kids, and are not just so distracted, but know that it will effect the family much more if we were to fasll into depression. I used to think it was the nidda that did it during that time, but now I thinkit sthe finanances, and just him, It unfortunately runs in my husbands family, and I am kind of worried, it isn't constant those bH.

Ppl that are depressed are usually that way in a mild manner and it gets worse at times. My DH is mildly depressed and his depression keeps him from doing and completing tasks etc. recently he’s been diagnosed with OCD, anxiety which I always suspected but didn’t find the right ppl to help him with. He’s on an anti depressant and it’s slowly helping him in conjunction with therapy.
