A new one or just sterilize and return? It's not the right size for my toddler, otherwise I'd forsure buy a new one and replace. Should I ask my neighbor if I can sterile and return or its wrong?

Also to clarify she gave me a used one as that's all she had, I was desperate as home all alone and other kids sleeping, she won't go to bed without it.....so I sterilized and now can I resterilize all return or I have to ask her what she wants?

My gut says by a new one and return both.

My brain says this could be an issue with ribit (lending w interest)

I actually think it's a shayla for a Rav.

Why can't you just get a new one and say the new one is a gift for helping out in a desperate situation? (and also for the fact that many people prob. wouldn't want a used one back).

btw I'd for sure get her a new one.

I'd ask her if she'll still use it sterilized or you should buy her a new one. But only if you don't know her as a neat freak and you think she'd be comfortable telling you the truth. It never occured to me to be that woried about someone else using my kid's pacifier. Isn't it sometimes laying around and another kid puts it in his mouth for a minute? How is this so different? I just rinse it..

I wouldn't expect a new one back and would be okay with using it after having been sterilized though seems I'm an anomaly here...
