I got this recipe from the Parents magazine. There was an ad for raisins & there was a recipe on it. It is great!
1 cup of oats
1 cup of chopped nuts (don't use walnuts, they are bitter)
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup of honey
1/3 cup of margarine (5 T)
1 cup of raisins/craisins
1 cup of honey graham cereal squares ( I used cinnamon Life)
Preheat oven to 350. Mix oats & nuts in an 8x8" or 9x9" pan. Bake for 20 minutes or until oats are golden. Stir ocassionally. Meanwhile, in a medium pot, melt margarine, sugar & honey over a medium flame. Stir constantly. When it boils, remove from the light. Put the raisins & cereal in a large bowl. Add the oats/nuts mixture. Add sugar mixture & mix until all is coated. Grease the pan you already used & press the mixture in it. Chill & cut into bars.
Enjoy!
