I’m looking to go on vacation for a couple of days and the choice is between Milan or Rome.
I know about the places to eat there I’m more looking for information about what there is to do in both destinations.
We don’t like museums so much and I feel that both places are full of them and not much else.. anyone been there who can help?
Thanks.

Never been to milan. I was nervous I would be bored in Rome, but it was amazing. The museums aren’t these sterile buildings made for seeing art, they are ancient buildings that you can’t believe are still standing today. I would love to go back!

No way to be bored in italy.
Milan is less "interesting" unless you go for fashion/shoes/custom made. Or family

Milan is more scentic views
Rome is more history.
One thing I should add, my uncle was going on the tour with Sheiners group and he asked a Rav a sheilah because the group was going to visit the Justinian's Church because of it's beautiful artwork and he didn't want to enter a Church. And the Rav said it is ASSUR to enter a Church under any circumstances

Take it from me-Milano is a no go. I have been there and would not recommend it unless for a stopover/business.
Rome is so rich in history. The streets are practically a living museum. I had a wonderful time there.
They also have many wonderful restaurants in the ghetto there as well as a chalov yisrael gelato place.

Church turned into museum, or for school and not during mass, has been allowed. Signed, a teacher. Not that I personally would want, but hey.

Rome! I could have stayed a week, was only there four days. Nothing much to do in Milan except designer shopping. I would go back to Rome in a second!

Thanks all!
What things are there to do in Rome?
What would a 2 day plan look like?
Thanks.

I highly recommend http://www.jewishrometours.com/romeforjews/
Their Jewish Quarter tour is AMAZING. If you are interested in the other sites they offer, such as the Sistine Chapel, I would book them for that as well.
Things you can do on your own:
Borghese Gallery
Trevi Fountain
Piazza Navona
Pantheon

we did in one day:
ate gelato
went to the collosseum
took a tour of the synagogue and the Jewish museum
We also just walked around...amazing ruins all over. You have to pay to see the arch of titus but you can look at it from a distance fro free.

Of the choices you gave, Rome wins hands down. If Venice could somehow be an option, then the question doesn't even begin.
