Searching online leads me to mint, but I want to be able to manually enter in checks that I write out and then have it sync with my bank to reconcile when it clears, which it seems mint doesn't do.
Until now I've been doing it the old fashioned way of writing everything in my check register and using pen and paper to reconcile the monthly bank statement.
Please someone tell me there is an easier way. Oh, and it needs to be super user friendly for my non tech savvy husband to use.

I don't use paper checks. (I either use credit card or cash) when I need to use check I login to "Bill pay" on my online banking website. I add the payee I want to send the check to and the bank mails the check to them. I can see online if it cleared or not. Some banks subtractive money from our balance right away and some banks wait until the check is actually deposited. And I can go online to see if it's still outstanding. Every online banking has a system similar to this...
