I haven't looked at the labels recently, but do they have a significant amount of artificial sweeteners? There are studies that show that artificial sweeteners may inhibit weight loss.

The chances that they lied about the calories are non-existant.

Based on a quick google search for the nutrition facts:
Calories 68 Sodium 7 mg
Total Fat 3 g Potassium 0 mg
Saturated 1 g Total Carbs 10 g
Polyunsaturated 0 g Dietary Fiber 1 g
Monounsaturated 0 g Sugars 0 g
Trans 0 g Protein 2 g
Cholesterol 0 mg
Vitamin A 0% Calcium 1%
Vitamin C 0% Iron

10 carbs seems like a lot for such a small bar.

What are the ingredients? That might shed some light.

The crisp rice has sugar and then it has sugar listed on its own as an ingredient. Yet it says sugar 0 grams.
I don't buy any "health" bars as I don't trust them.

I don't trust the label. There's no way that something that has rice, oats and nuts is 68 calories. And it's a nice size. I count them as 100 calories when I eat them.

How many servings per bar? Yes, I known it's a small bar.

I just looked at the company. There are multiple types of granola bars. Which one are you asking about? Some are truly sugar free. Some have chocolate... etc.

OP, the calories may be correct but I have found that when trying to lose weight it's not a simple matter of counting calories and making sure there is a deficit. For many people high carb processed foods just don't work on diets. Get rid of these for a few days, or better yet a week, and see if you do better with your weight loss goals.

I thought that double-sugar thing was weird. The one I looked at online has 5g Sugar, but there are manh different types.

I make my own granola. Gave up on those bars years ago.

The peanut butter one has very low sugar IIRC. It's not a health bar, it's a snack for dieters. Nutritionist (non jewish, so it's not like she's trying to promote it or anything) recommends the peanut butter one for a snack.

I have used a lot of recipes over the years -- my Mother also made her own when I was growing up:) This is the latest and greatest, from a friend of my Mother's who works at an artisanal granola bakery:

10 cups of oats
1 cup of pistachios
1 cup of sunflower seeds
1 cup pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup of flax seeds
1 tbs of chopped rosemary
1 tbs of salt
2 ts of ground black pepper
2 ts of red chili flakes
2 ts of ground juniper berries (I grind them myself in the blender, if you can't find them substitute it with anything "earthy")
1/4 ts of cayenne pepper

Mix this all in a bowl. I put a scarf on my face because of all the spices.

1 cup of olive oil
2 cups of maple syrup

Mix the oil and syrup together, and then mix it with the dry ingredients. Mix well. Bake at 350 in a standard oven. Stir and turn once or twice during baking, until golden brown. This granola caramelizes a lot because of the maple syrup. So I'd make it on a sillpat, or just know that you'll have to soak your pan overnight after you make it.

I have to cut out the red pepper, because if my heartburn. Granola is incredibly flexible-- you can take out, add, or substitute anything you like, as long as you keep the the ratio of wet to dry. And don't cut out the oatmeal:)
