My three year old has some scabs on his face that are just getting worse and worse. He keeps picking harm until they bleed. He has ruined multiple shirts and pillowcases but my main concern is his health- how do I get these scabs to go away???
Bandaids don't help. He pulls them off.

All of my kids do it as well as me. I tried everything from bribery to distraction. The distractions and keeping them busy does seem to work, but moreso for my two youngest rather than my eldest. We all still do it though. He may stop doing it on his own or not. When you do see him picking, tell him no, not in a mean way, of course, and distract him with something else.

Bribes don't help.
He does it in his sleep too!
