I'm very far from the perfect mother. But tonight I went out of my way to give ds toasty warm pajamas from the dryer. As he hugged them and smiled, I thought about how Rav Moshe Feinstein ztz"l went out of his way to put his children's clothing on the heater to encourage them to get out of bed on cold mornings. I may never reach the madrega of a gadol hador but for that moment I warmed myself with the thought that I have something in common with Rav Moshe.
It even reminds me of the Eighth Day song "a little bit o' Moses in me".

Love your post.
There is a story of Rav Chaim Shmuelevitz, zt"l, who was very moved when he would see new shoes on display. These shoes were molds the cobbler made for babies' first shoes, and he would imagine the joy of mothers buying their children's first shoes. This is something I've thought of, along with your story.
