When I was a kalla some years back somebody gave me a great recipe for a double fudge brownie recipe. It was so gooey and chocolatey! Heaven! But I lost it
And I don't remember who the recipe was from...
It involved two bags of chocolate chips.
One was melted and one was mixed into the batter.
Anybody have something like this?

So this recipe is very similar to one that I got from a magazine and that I've been using for over 20 years, except that it has twice the amount of sugar (and one more egg). Mine come out plenty sweet with only 3/4 c. of sugar. Do you put in the whole amount that the recipe calls for?

I do. I wonder how it would affect the texture the reduce it that much.

Believe it or not, Walmart brownie cake mix, under reliable hashgacha, is really tasty.
But try this:

I use margarine, a bag of chocolate chips, and French vanilla instant coffee powder.

Thx- one last question: what is the texture of these brownies? I like a firm brownie that tends towards cakey rather than something better eaten with a spoon. I'm wondering if the extra egg and the fact that this recipe calls for baking powder whereas I use the same amount of baking soda, makes this brownie 'cakier' than my version of the recipe?
