I enjoy just coming up with themes. You can technically make a theme out of anything.
Just some ideas :
1. "Secret Service" , Nes Purim was a Nes Nistar ... hidden.
Husband and wife dress up like Trump and Melania . Kids dress up like their secret service agents ( suits, ties, sunglasses, wires in their ears etc) and you can make an "All American" shalach manos with your "secret" recipe.
Have lots of ideas and I write poems. PM me and I can help you!

The last few years we've done ladybug, clown/circus, and bride/groom. Having only one gender definitely makes coming up with ideas easier.

Dr Seuss theme- kids are thing 1 and thing 2....3,4,5,6 etc
Toy story
Bee theme- husband and wife are bee keepers, kids are the bees (you can have a bear too)
Wizard of Oz
Where is Waldo
Zoo theme- husband and wife are zoo keepers, kids are different animals

Some cute ideas I've seen are goldilocks and the 3 bears, prisoners, crayons, firemen (with baby as a dalmation dog), doctor and nurse, deck of cards, pirates, Indians (though nowadays is not considered pc), clowns (third is a typical theme), fruits (each person dressed as a different fruit and then fruit salad for mm).
