Currently and not sure how this happened but we got into the habit of rocking him in carriage until he falls asleep and now he doesn't know how to fall asleep on his own. How can I teach him?

Instead of rocking him to sleep in his stroller place him in his crib drowsy but still awake. If he cries allow him to cry for a few minutes before going to comfort him. When you do go in to him DO NOT TAKE HIM OUT OF THE CRIB! You can give him a pacifier if he takes one, rub his back gently, etc. Once he's calm again leave the room. Slowly increase the amount of time ou allow him to cry before returning to comfort him. The goal is to teach him to self sooth and put himself to sleep without your help.

Of course he will. You need to teach him not to

This. Put him in and let him scream. For the first few days go back after just a few minutes. Yes they will feel like hours but remember is just a few minutes. No baby was ever harmed by crying for 3 or 4 minutes. Over tone stretch out the length of time before you go back in to him. Hopefully after a little while he will realize this is the new reality and will not cry when out in his crib. The other option, if you have the stomach for it, is to do a straight up cry it out method. But it's not easy. In that car you would put him in and simply let him cry no matter how long it took. You would obviously monitor him from a distance using s baby monitor bit you wouldn't go in to comfort him at all. But I do not recommend this for the faint of heart.

Please don't do that. Don't just let him scream for hours They're babies for so short. He'll outgrow it
