Hi,
I have a 3 yr old son who has a number of issues. He has OT issues, behavioural difficulties, processing difficulties, concentration, possibly add, speech etc. I am wondering if there is any one place I can go to, that does a full assessment of the child, in ALL areas.
So far, I Have applied privately for OT and also for him to see a mental health proffessional (I dont know if they have accepeted him) but I would really love to get a full on assessment of all his issues so I know where hes at, and can get the relevant help for him. The OT assessment only deals with OT but I feel that is only addressing one area. Is he too young for this? Is there anywhere I can go?
I live in the Uk and would really appreciate if anyone knows anything about this...

I am having similar issues with my child. I don't know what it would be called in another country, but my pediatrician recommended that we seek an evaluation at a developmental dr. They are specialists who usually work out of a hospital and meet with you and your child for a few hours to get the full scope on your child's developmental progress.

What is that in England? And im presuming you need a referral from regular GP?

Have you been referred to a pedeatrician? That route will get you somewhere
Otherwise dr Marshall (if you are in Manchester ) does assessments .

I would recommend a neuro sych Evalulation.
Its done by a pediatric Neuro Psychologist.
They look for learning isses, ADD.... stuff like that.
Its a full examination that can give lots of clarity.
