I don’t really like doing cutesy themes for Purim. I tend to end up with mm full of junk. I don’t bake, because I know a lot of people throw out homemade stuff. I want to make a mm that someone could eat for lunch Purim afternoon when everyone is starving, and has no time to make themselves a bite. I really want to hear as many ideas as possible, so I can see what is feasible ahead of time. Thanks for your help!

Last year I did onion croissants, cut up vegetables and chummus and had it in a sectional container with a cover. It was a perfect healthy Purim snack .

We have gotten:
rolls with tiny containers of spreads
A deli sandwich with a container of coleslaw
Salad or crudités with crackers or breadsticks. The dip or dressing was separate, sometimes croutons as well.
Soup and a roll
Tuna and vegetable sticks

Dairy delivered early makes a great breakfast or snack.
Yogurt and granola
Cheese and crackers
Bagel lox and cream cheese

As soon as any healthy MM arrives, I open it up for my kids to nosh on to keep them happy until the seuda.

That's wonderful if you're home.

But if its delivered when you're out for hours, then its trash.

Dh and I switch off since we usually have a baby at home who needs a nap. And Dh wants to learn a little on Purim day.

This is not an issue for me. I don’t leave food by people’s doorsteps. There are lots of woodland creatures around here that don’t mind sharing people’s food. I learned my lesson multiple years ago. The teachers usually give hours when they are home, and friends often come to us. If someone else isn’t home, we just bring it home and see if they come to us.

Ooh. Yum. In mason jars. Or I've seen in the $1 store soup mugs that come with a cover.

One year I recieved a large parve quiche. My family each had a piece for lunch.
It came with a bottle of wine.
It was a Parisian theme.
It was a basket with a napkin covering, of the Eifel tower.
The family had striped shirts, red handkerchief around the neck and wore red barrettes

We've also recieved kugels, but these I usually keep for Shabbos.

Or pkg of cold cuts w bag of mini rolls w mini ketchup and mustard. Ive done pkg lox and bagels...nothing opened or prepared but always appreciated And I know it will get used.

My kids love the deli roll my neighbor sends every year. She sends it over when it's still hot.

A good fresh salad is also something we enjoy( the dressing comes separately).

This yr, my babies will be turtles. So I'm gonna give a kiwi drink, a roll in the shape of a turtle, and olive spread with olives in the center for the eyes.

Anon because this is our signature mm for over 10 years and we've lived in a lot of cities, so staying anon.

We give a homemade pretzel dog (hot dog wrapped in pretzel dough), a pickle, can of soda, and sometimes a dessert. The hot dog is not going to be compromised if it’s left out on someone’s porch for an hour or two, or sitting in my car being driven around for an hour. We only give to people that we know will eat homemade goods, and I don’t go overboard. I make 2 packs of hotdogs worth. Its always a huge hit. One year a husband was mad because the prior year his wife ate it and he didnt get any, so he waitied on his poarch for it. The year after that, his wife came to US to get it before he could intercept! It became a game. Ahh good times!
