Just curious how many out there actually pay full tuition. I said 8k (yearly price per child) or more because in schools that charge say 5k a head mostly everyone pays full. I am on scholarship yet I pay more than that.....

I pay full but tuition for the relevant age is around $7000. I don't think I will pay full once the cost increases as she gets older.

Also OP, I'd add how many children in school? Paying full for 2, is not the same as getting scholarship with 6!

And also, how many kids total? If you have 2 kids, and they're in school, that's also not the same as having 2 in school and 3 at home

We're on scholarship (paying tuition for 3)

We can't afford full tuition

We rent a small apartment, we live simply, we don't go on vacations, we drive an older used car, etc etc.

The full cost of private school is just out of our reach.

Maybe someday...

We pay tuition for 5 kids at $65,000/yr after breaks. Full tuition would have been $80,000.

Someday the government will issue vouchers in every state, not just Ohio.

While Ohio is not the only state with tuition vouchers, it IS a state thing, not federal, so it's kind of hard to imagine "the" government doing such a thing.

We pay around $14,000 for one child in elementary school and $7,000 for one child in preschool. We take advantage of the early bird special and get a 4% discount for paying the total amount up front in December rather than spacing out the payments over the course of the school year.

We are paying about $15K for middle school and $13K for preschool, (plus all the additional fees) and we pay full tuition.

We pay a bit more than half for high school and 1/3 for elementary school.

This equals to more than half of our take home pay, after taxes. We both works and It's a struggle.

We pay full tuition, $12k each for 3 kids. We have younger kids not yet in school. I hope our income allows us to pay full tuition forever but we will likely need some discount once all our kids are in school. Almost everyone I speak to gets some sort of break.

I hope your kids are getting an amazing education for that!! I guess I’ve been living under a rock! I wouldn’t be able to send my son to school if I was paying what you are!

How old is your son that you are only paying 5K a year? In my son's school primary boys primary pays 5k and everyone else pays 6k. If you ask, theyll give you 5.5k. Plus $500 fees/child plus 2-4k building fee/family.
And I hear we are somewhat cheap.

He’s in 1st grade. I forgot there is the building fund & registration so it’s more like 5.5k but that’s not over 10k that some people are paying.

I'm also in Lakewood and I pay 5.5 for each one of my kids. I wonder how people can afford this.
