I just take a bath in my jacuzzi. Light candles. Pure bliss

I agree with many of the concerns mentioned, such as cleanliness, privacy etc.
Why women only though? Why can't a guy come relax? Or a couple?

I’m just curious-to everyone who doesn’t trust the cleanliness (I’m assuming she’s going to clean it properly with bathroom cleaners between uses) why do you trust hotels more?

Just the cost of having a cleaning lady clean the bathroom between uses will cost $15.
The cost won't be covered.

I voted other because no way can I sit in a hot tub for an hour. I enjoy it very much but I would offer half-hour increments as well.

I wouldn't do this unless it was a full spa experience with manicure, pedicure, massage, and even then I'm not sure I want to bathe somewhere else. I'd much rather have a manicure / pedicure option at the mikvah.

I’d rent one in an official hotel or spa for even $100.
But in someone’s private home? Not even for free...
Sorry it’s just creepy.

FWIW, I have worked in a hotel (3-4 star), and I would never use a hotel jacuzzi based on what I know about housekeeping and maintenance challenges. They are similar for a hot tub. Also, you would definitely need to get a pool permit and inspection by Health Department to make this a legal business, for which your home may not be zoned appropriately. There was a recent "to-do" in Rockland County about people renting out their in-ground pools for use by others. It did not end well for the pool/home owners.

I would pay NOT to go and sit in a hot tub in someone else's house.

They were issued summonses and fined for operating unlicensed businesses. I actually don't know the final outcome after lawyers got involved, but another concern was whether they would be audited for undeclared income.

Sorry, but I think going to someone else's house to use their hot tub is weird. I like sitting in hot tubs with my husband, or with friends. And an hour? Imagine how pruney you'd get!

I don’t think you should make the purchase based on the assumption that you'll rent it out. First, soaking tubs, such as air and whirlpool tubs, are much more popular today than the classic Jacuzzi hot tubs. Second, today’s more sophisticated tubs require much less maintenance, so the real cost is the tub itself, not so much maintenance. Read a guide like this before buying: https://www.qualitybath.com/di.....-know but don’t buy it on the assumption that you’ll rent it, as everyone else said, that’s a huge headache.

As a girl, I had a wealthy friend whose birthday party included taking us (about 8 friends) to a spa. It was a private room with. A large hot tub/jacuzzi, sauna, shower and bed. Her older siblings and parents had smaller private rooms too.
I remember seeing the door to a massage room, room service for hard and soft drinks, likely other nice things too
Since this type of service already exists, what would you be adding?
That is something I'd enjoy with DH.
Otherwise? A bath at home is sufficient.

A mikvah has health code standards to maintain. We are checked by the state.

For a ladies Mikva, the only people who enter are really clean!
Plus it's cleaned regularly.
