So suddenly at age 1 my baby can have milk.
If I want to wean at the point, how does it work? I just suddenly give him warmed milk instead of nursing him? Do babies usually like this switch?

Babies will generally not take well to radical change. Keep nursing him and offer milk or solids on the side. Gradually increase the amounts as he gets used to it, and the nursings will get shorter and less frequent with time as he is not as hungry for it anymore. Eventually it will stop on its own.
This is also easier for you, as you won't get ingorged from the sudden slowdown in nursing.

I just gave a cup of milk (cold) with meals. I always fed her food/drink before nursing, so it started taking the place of nursing more and more as time went on and we increased the amount.
