We are planning on naming our baby after a Zlata. I know that Zahava is the obvious option, but are there other Hebrew names that maybe reflect the properties of gold, rather than translate directly? (Glistening, shining, etc.) Thanks!

Zlata is gold in Polish. Why would you do something else? If the name is Golda or Zlata then its Zehava. If you are going to other names then you can choose Sara, Chana, Avigayil. It defeats the purpose of giving the name after a loved one, no?

Could do Ora. You could also do something like Yakira (means precious).

Zohar or Zohara, Meira, Ziv is unisex, but I recommend against Ziva sounds like an STD in Hebrew.
