We have a large family with teenagers. Does it make sense we need 3 computers?
My dh is studying online and uses the laptop. Kids have been using it but it annoys him.
I have a very casual work at home job that needs a top computer. If I had my own computer I would be able to work when kids at home.
My teenage daughter needs computer for her homework. Half her homework is computer/internet based. Kids like to play games/and watch videos on the computer.
We do have a family ipad but it is never charged. It is used mainly for kids games
Does it make sense that we need 3 instead of 2?
How many computers does your family have?

From a quick read of your post it would seem like three would work better. You could make sure it's a functional for school/work related computer or tablet combo thing. And try to keep the iPad charged if a second kid wants to play and the older one needs for school.

Three sounds right, given that you have multiple family members including one who needs it on a very consistent basis (DH online studies.)
