To be honest , I don’t know. My friend was simply told get pediatric neurologist.

Dr Wissof NYU is supposed to be great. Met him once and he was one of the surgeons at my sons surgery. As he wasn’t the main dr we were using Ddnt meet him / use him too much. From the bit we met and research we did- heard great things.

I was recommended dr Gary Mcabee in Maimonides in Boro Park And was very happy.
He may be in another location, not sure.

I was a patient of Dr Aron and Dr Frank of Mount Sinai Neurological department. Both were fantastic although I believe Dr Frank retired already. PM if you need more info.

Call echo (referral organization) 718-859-9800
Tell them what the issue is
Tell them which insurance your friend has
They will refer you to the top dr who deal with this issue and takes the insurance
