Yael gave me permission to post this...

My son is in an advanced fighting unit - part of the Givati Brigade.

They specialize in explosives and demolition. (Remember the tunnels from Gaza to Israel last summer? )
It is not an easy task and they are so keen to be the best fighters possible.

Now is your chance to support them. You can be part of Israel's defence.

The standard army equipment is very basic - we want to upgrade some of their eqipment such as kneeepads, climbing boots, and other things.

Trouble is we have to upgrade the whole unit. They cant have just one kid in newfangled boots or kneepads. They all have to have the new stuff. And some of the guys come from fairly underpriveleged homes.

They come from all walks of life. There are religious, non-religious, Druze, and Christians . All with one aim - to defend our country as best they can.

Please help them - even a small donation would be appreciated. And I am sure they will respond to each donation.

Hila, this posting just popped up at the bottom of a page. I’m sorry I wasn’t a very active Imamother back then or I would have donated. How’s your son? He must have had a tough few years. We all appreciate what he does to protect the country and our people.

BH he finished the army . Safe and sound.

He studied hard, did his psychometric exam, we don't have results yet.

Now he and a friend are walking Shvil Yisrael - the Israel Trail from Eilat to Tel Dan.

He is Yotvata for Shabbat
