has anyone tried this recipe from fresh and easy?
I was all excited that it would be like an iced coffee slush from the store, but after it defrosted for 4 hours it was just like coffee and milk!
I halfed the recipe, if that makes a difference
I am looking for a recipe to make iced coffee like they sell in the (Israeli)stores.

That’s what happens to the store bought ones as well. The slushy ice melts.

right, but the recipe said to freeze overnight, and then take it out of the freezer and defrost for 4 hours, and then mash the clumps of ice. after 4 hours it was completely melted. Should I defrost it for less time next time?
or blend it?

Also ideally use whole milk. The thicker the yummier

If you want slush iced coffee, I would think to make black coffee, freeze in ice cube trays. Then blend the ice cubes with milk and flavoring.

how do you make it?
do you reblend it in the blender?
the recipe looks like coffee flavored milk, I am wondering where the slush comes in

I have made it in a 2 litre plastic milk jug. Take it out as soon I get up and at every hour I shake it up really hard, by after lunch it is pure slushy heaven. The shaking is really hard.
