someone I know is doing some research for boy names.
There is a grandmother who was named shprintza who they would like to honour.
This is the best group of knowledgable group I know 
Are there any boy names that could possibly connect to shprintza?

Shprintza is generally thought to be derived from Esperanza, meaning hope. My closest guess would be Shmuel, because it sounds similar and because his mother Channah said אל הנער הזה התפללתי, I prayed (hoped) for this child.
