Moving soon and the kitchen has a Kitchenaid oven ELECTRIC
What's the best way to use it to keep you food hot for Friday night.
Do you
A. Put it on the highest temp before Shabbat, put the food in and shut it off before candle lighting
Or
B. Put it on time bake at a low temp, so that it turns off right before you eat?
If A-how do you turn off the light
If B- what temp so the food is not over cooked?
TIA

I have 2 of them. If your oven is reasonably new it should have Shabbos mode. You need to activate it (see the manual) before you can use it. I leave the food in the oven at 225 degrees set to turn off around when I expect DH to return from shul and I keep it in Shabbos mode which 1) keeps the light off and 2) turns the oven of when it reaches to designated time without beeping.

Thanks
Ovens are brand new, not even used once.
Do you heat the food up first until it's piping hot, then put it at 225.
Or go from room temp to 225.

I start with the food hot. If your oven is new, make sure to read the manual for how to activate Shabbos mode; otherwise you won't be able to use it at all.

Great, I'll do that
I also took the Kitchenaid warming drawer that can also be used as a slow cooker.
If you have this, any tips on how to use it will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I don't have a warming drawer.
