When you overhear children being mean or exclusive, do you step in or figure kids will be kids? Does it matter if it's your child who is being picked on- or is the mean one? I also wonder who has had a child who was scared by repeated nastiness by other children.

I always step in ... no matter what ... funny I was just telling someone that the same way I would tell a parent if my kid was being hurt - I have also called the opposite if my kid hurt someone else - this only happened once but the parent could care less ...
and I do so even if neither kid is mine ... last year I had to open the door of the men's section during yom tov and tell someone to get a kids father ... he was beating up another boy (who just lost his father too) I could not even believe that nobody but me would do this ...
