I am looking for ways to abbreviate the name Nathan. Especially Israeli ones.

Tanz (not sure how it’s spelled, but pronounced tahnz)
And I love Nate for English.

Tani. Not sure how Israeli it is, but I've heard it before. Nati is for sure the more common Israeli abbreviation. As for non-israeli, there's Nussy or Sonny. But I'm not a fan of those.

But Nathan is such a beautiful name, and not that long, so why abbreviate?
In Israel the most common abbreviation is Nati. But beware, in English that may sound like "nutty".

In English it sounds exactly like "naughty".

Thank you all! I know it is already a short name, but it sounds so ... grown-up ... Nati or Tani is better for a small child, I think.
