DS6 sometimes spits unintentionally while talking and he's really bothered by it as kids in his class sometimes make fun and he was once told off by his teacher for spitting as another kid reported him for spitting on him. I imagine the teacher didn't realize it was a mistake.
How can I help him overcome this issue?

The first thing to try would be to teach him to get in the habit of swallowing his saliva every time before he starts talking.

I tell my kids every so often to swallow the water in their mouth. They’re 5 and 3

He might benefit from speech therapy.

Thanks. Anyone here been to a speech therapist for this? It's really bothering DS and telling him to swallow hasn't really been very successful.
