I know how to make the knockerlach as my mother and grandmother made them but I don’t know of a recipe for a specific soup that it goes to. I add to any vegetable soup or chicken soup.

never heard of nockerlach soup. only of nockerlach itself which is yum. I second this that I put into any soup. usually vegetable but you can put in which ever you want. I also cook chicken in pot with spices on the stove in a deep pot and then last 20 minutes I will cook knockerlach and it gets the taste of the sauce. yum...

OP I think you're talking about a pea soup with nockerlach in it.
I'm following and wishing someone would post a recipe.
I'd be so happy too if one of the amothers above would post their nockerlach recipe.
I make them without proper amounts from flour, eggs, oil, water, salt, spices. Nobody ever complains but I'm the one who knows they're not exactly right!

Thanks so much for that.
I don't think it's quite what I was looking for and I don't know about OP, but if I play around with it I might get closer.

Split Pea Soup with Nockerlach
Chayies Heimishe Recipes
Cook 3 packages split pea soup mix with 4 cloves of crushed garlic in enough water to cover. Boil until slightly soft, then blend.
In a separate 8 quart pot, saute 2 onions, 4 squash, 4 stalks of celery, and 8 carrots (all vegetables chopped). When softened add in blended soup. Add enough water to fill pot 3/4 of the way. Bring to a boil, lower flame and simmer for a few hours.
Nokerlach:
18 Tbs flour
2 eggs
1/2 C water
Salt and pepper
Mix well, drop into simmering soup with a teaspoon.
I like to add the nokerlach approximately half way through cooking so they retain a little bite and aren't mushy.
