Anon bc I've been asking this around
My baby is 14m, weighs under 35lb and is average height. Time for a real car seat, to begin with I just bought the doona so I don't know what to begin looking for!
It can stay in the car for the most part. I would only need a base for like going to the airport. To take baby in and out, I would sooner do an umbrella stroller (does that exist for this age?)... DC likes looking out and won't behave sitting in the carseat unless maybe it can be forward racing and propped up in it
Any recommendations? I know nothing about car seats, can you give me a lead and I'll do further research?

Umbrella strollers can typically be used she 6 months and up so you're good
I went cheap and cheerful: cosco scenera next. Very happy with it.

I like to be able to recline the car seat for the times that the toddler falls asleep. Search on Amazon for a reclining car seat. See your options. There are so many! Narrow it down by price so it'll make choosing easier.
