I use a cookie scoop and don't worry about perfectly round perfection. It takes just a few minutes more.

Now why did it take me nearly 20 years of marriage to learn this trick?

Thanks, genius!

I didn't come up with it :-) We also do that for matza balls.

A friend once said to me that she mixes all sorts of things in the mixer (like meatloaf, broccoli kugel), not just cakes and cookies. It was like a lightbulb moment for me.

They also come out delicious in the crockpot. Put them up in the morning and go about your day.

To me, "meatballs" and "quick" don't go together. Rolling meat into balls is by definition not quick.

ditto ~ which is why I've made meat sauce ... brown the meat/vegan alternative with onions & spices - add the sauce plus more spices ... eat over pasta ~ voila

I do them for 6 hours on LOW. Can be up to 8 depending on your crockpot but don't overcook them.

Yes. Use those extra deep 9x13 pans so that it doesn't bubble over and make a mess in the oven. If you don't have, put a cookie sheet underneath the pan.
