I'm in the process of losing weight after yet another baby. My regular size is 4-6, but I have clothes from size 12 to size 4 that cover my entire weight range throughout my baby's first year. Because my weight keeps changing and I don't have a full wardrobe in any one size, I always look kind of shlumpy wearing at least one too-large item. But I can't commit to a full wardrobe in my regular (nonpregnant, not pp) size, because I hope to have more kids, which means more weight gain and loss.
Do you all have any tips and tricks for looking nice and not shlumpy through weight changes? Other than buying four separate wardrobes or having clothes altered every 5 lbs. Thanks!

Don't buy a whole wardrobe rather 4-5 neutral pieces you can mix up. Change your look and add color with nice shoes and accessories like scarves and jewelry - those will be useful even as you lose or gain weight.

Do you do belts?
Buttonhole elastic in the waistbands of the larger skirts could give you a few smaller sizes of wear from them.
Untucked shirts are good.
Sweaters are good, but it’s almost summer...

You could buy some mimu maxis. You could wear them belted when your skinnier, and loose when your postpartum.
