My 8 year old daughter isn't always in the mood for cereal and milk in the mornings. This morning she asked for chocolate milk. Any ideas for a quick breakfast when there isn't that much time? Thanks so much for all and any ideas

Definitely not traditional breakfast, but it works: reheated leftovers, such as macaroni and cheese or even soup!

Oatmeal
An omelette
Cheese/tuna and crackers
Rice cakes and cottage cheese
Fruit and yogurt
Granola bar and fruit
Smoothie* (we make a big batch and freeze in single-serve containers, then move from freezer to fridge the night before we want it)
*add in almond butter and flax or chia for protein.

Healthy muffins, healthy cookies, yogurt w/ granola, leben, grilled cheese, smoothies, PB on rice cakes, french toast...- most of these can be made in advance and stored in freezer/fridge for a quick on the go breakfast...

"Everything" oatmeal cookies.

Make your favorite batch of cookie dough, but use less sugar. Add dried fruit, chopped nuts, protein powder, flax seeds, and anything else healthy that you think you can get in there. My DD loves these.

if you can bake on sunday granola bars or muffins she can pull one out in the morning as needed. defrosts in a few min. that and a cup of milk or oj is a nice start.
my kids fave is a slice of bread with a alice of cheese on melted in the oven.
if she eats hardboiled eggs you could prep ahead and she has that and a yogourt.
