This might sound gross, sorry if tmi but my little kids (ages 3 and 4) pillow cases are dirty every morning. Is this normal? I assume its drool and snot.... they don't have colds or anything.
The pillow cases are navy so it shows up clearly when its white or yellow. I did use lighter colors and it was still there just not as noticable...
Any solutions or just wait till they're older? I literally wash them every day.

Are their faces thoroughly cleaned before bed every night? Maybe it's toothpaste?

Are they drinking at night?
Are you giving pacifiers?
It’s coming from their mouths- noses don’t flow fluid unless they were crying or sick.

That's a thought. I'm gonna make sure to wash faces well after brushing teeth.

No pacifiers or bottles. They do have sippy cups on the shelf and get up to take a drink if thirsty, but as far as I know its only once when they go in to bed. Can it be from that?
Don't usually cry... bh not sick.

It's drool. My kids navy pillow cases show the stains too. You just don't notice it on a lighter color but it's still there. Kids and adults drool in their sleep. If it grosses you out just wash the pillow case or change it a few times a week.

Thanks!
Do they ever grow out of it?

I drool in my sleep. It's not uncommon. I'm sure some kids grow out of it but many adults still drool. Try not to let it bother you so much, it's just saliva.

OP, I dont think you have to wash the pillow cases every single day.
Even adults might drool or even sweat into their pillow cases. Its not a big deal. And not something that you have to wash every single day for sure.

If it bothers you, flip the pillow to get another night out of it.

I have this with only one of my kids, seems to be drool. My issue is that she moves around a lot in her sleep so it's not on the pillowcase, it's all over the sheet, which is a much bigger pain to change!

I'm a drooler even as an adult. I think it comes from the way we breathe. I'm a mouth breather as opposed to a nose breather. I don't think there is much to be done.

Sounds like lighter linen will work better with big droolers.
