That is soooo frustrating!!!
Based on What I read up on it:
Pumpkin seeds is good to eat to prevent them
Sugar/ dairy increases them
Shmeer vaseline there to suffocate them before going to sleep
Did you try garlic? Any advice from your dr or healthfood store?

I actually found them even when we were taking garlic, and pumpkin seeds.
I think everything that is believed to kill them really only paralyzes them for a while but then they get “right back to business “

Keep all family members' nails short, since eggs can stick there and then cause reinfection.

Wash all sheets and blankets of everyone in the house, in hot water and detergent. Also all hand towels.

Underwear and pj's should be changed daily of course and also washed in hot water with detergent, but be careful that it should not be tossed or shaken, as that can send eggs airborne.

Floors should be mopped.

Toilet seats, sinks, doorknobs should be constantly disinfected.

It really stinks. Good luck!!

Ok. Where do I start?
Yes short nails and washing linens etc are important, but without a product that rids the digestive system of these buggers, all that washing is completely USELESS

And disinfecting is for bacteria and viruses.
Disinfectants will do nothing for pinworms.

And mopping floors? Seriously? That just transfers the eggs all over the place.

Sorry if I sound harsh but I seriously had it.

I wonder if we aren't being told that the OP refuses real medical treatment.

Don't give your kids baths, only showers, preferably in the morning.
This way they're not spreading the eggs around in the bathwater - it will instead wash away right down the drain.

And dry everything you can in the drying machine.

When we had this, I found that all family members needed to take the medication twice: once right away and again 7-10 days later. I also cut nails, washed everything, etc., and B"H they were gone.

You can only do the real medical treatment so many times before you realize that the kids just keep catching it. You can treat, and the next day the kid will catch it again.
It's all about stopping the cycle.

There are definitely kids that are more prone to it, but no, it should not be that immediate.

They don’t “keep catching it”
The prescription doesn’t work well to begin with
And even doctors don’t recommend using it often for liver health reasons

It can definitely be that immediate.
The medication only treats the worms, not the eggs, which can live a few weeks, even if the whole family has been treated.
That's why all the washing, showering , nail cutting, linen changing procedures need to be in place for a few weeks after taking the medication. (Just read the the Pin-x insert)

Hatzlacha OP!!
I have been there.
It isn't dangerous, just maddening. I know of kids that have simply grown out of it - through better hygiene as they get older.

I've definitely seen the change after using the meds, and then a few weeks later it is back again.
It may really depend on the ability of the person / family to clean up the eggs.
The kids are also not in isolation - if it's in the class - the may be spreading it back an forth.

Or the second dosage may not be timed properly to kill new hatchers (sorry if this grosses someone out).

Or doctor does Vermox, one dose each night for 3nights. Wait 7 days, take the final dose.
Each doctor has their regimen. This is for kids 2-12. It seems to work.

Of course it’s in the class!
It is estimated that about 90% of the population has it.
The way in which it is spread is an impossible battle- via the eggs which can live on surfaces for 3 weeks
