It gets quite hot after being plugged in a short while. The bottom of the lamp and also the part of the cord that does into the outlet.

Is this normal? Anyone kept it on overnite?

Since there's no off switch, and I am really bad about remembering to unplug it in the morning, it's been on for weeks at a time. I use it every night to read before bed, not just shabbos. It does get mighty hot on bottom. But I make sure it is only on a glass surface. And I hope for the best.

I definitely think there are some serious design flaws, even tho the concept is a good one.

It’s just weird that LED lights get so hot.
And I’m really scared to use it.
