My goal is to track 10, 000 steps each day. Would anyone be interested in starting an imamother marathon? We can keep adding up those steps!

Today: I reached 10, 000

happy to join.

According to my fitbit 19299 steps. Phone gives me 22004 steps.

To get this I walked for about 1.5 hours this morning. (dropped my kids off at school and went into a couple of shops so not all walking) Then I picked up my kids from school (another 30-40 minutes).

Love this challenge and am excited to join! I'll have to buy a pedometer though. Which pedometers are you using/would you recommend?

I purchased an old fashioned pedometer on amazon and it’s really easy to use:

OZO fitness sc2 digital pedometer, I think it was 15 dollars.

It’s really encouraging to see how much you already move during the day and what more you can add to meet your fitness goals!

yay! Keep it going! Just wanted to share that I started this thread because I read that walking 10,000 steps a day can help me lose weight. All I need is my walking hat, shoes and a pedometer !

Thank you! I feel better each day being more active! today I am going to start working on my eating too. I really think all the sugar and irregular meal times are slowing me down in terms of weight loss and energy. Here’s to a healthy summer!

B'h my average for the past 30 days is about 9100, but I don't use it on shabbos. There is a downside. After I reach 10000, I say I'm not moving, I'm done LOL .

10,000 steps is actually exhausting! No wonder I am poofed after a day of shopping, cooking, cleaning, running errands, work....

I am inspired by those who take 10,001 steps a day! Very Happy

My most was over 20000, but it was only one day. I enjoy walking though.

I've been walking about 15,000 a day because I walk home after dropping my kids off at school and it takes over 1 1/2 hours. Yesterday was my personal best, over 24,000 because I walked home as usual and then went somewhere that took 40 minutes to walk. I was going to take a taxi back, but finished earlier than expected so I had time to walk and that's what I did.
