Title says it all.
I know that diet is 80%
But I do keep a healthy diet
Basically eat a whole 30 way all the time, except for 1 kazayit of ww bread at each Shabbat meal.

Since last November my mobility has been very limited and I gained 30lbs. Before I could have benefited to lose 10-15 lbs.

This weight gain has been even harder on my joints.

Weight loss is about intake vs outtake. So with less mobility less calories should be eaten. I saw a nutritionist and lost weight with diet only.

Yes, but with such limited mobility how low do my calories need to be?
I went on a calorie calculator on line and it’s telling me 900 calories.
I think thats too low.

I eat very healthy
Tons of non starchy veggies (maybe 2 lbs, daily)
Limited low sugar fruit
Moderate animal protein
A bit of healthy fat at each meal
Very occasionally a few nuts when I get antsy to eat something.

You can figure this out with height, weight and level of energy expenditure which in this case would be classified as sedentary.

I did calculate it on line and the calorie intake was less than 1000.

Can you swim? It's an easier way to burn calories for many people who find weight bearing too painful.

I know it’s been a while
So I’m bumping up
I’ve lost 15 lbs in 8 months
Yay me
I’ve been trying to do low carb

But still that’s super slow

Plus
The only way I’m losing is by fast mimicking
Not a religious fast but it does bring my calories really low for 48hrs and then normal the rest of the week
I do maintain the loss when I eat
When I eat my calories are in the 1600 calorie range

Any advise
Just keep going?
Switch to something else?
I need to lose 30 lbs so I’m back to square 1

Wow I think that is great! Slow and steady wins the race. I think you should continue doing what is working for you as long as you see the numbers come down, even slowly. I wanted to mention you might be interested in looking into a vibrating plate machine for exercise. It is supposed to improve the lymphatic system which can help metabolism.
