Okay, having company on holidays and need help.
Any ideas of food I can prepare ahead that freezes well, looks presentable and can then be warmed on a hot plate?
Please help. Need good variety too. Where do I start?
TIA!

I wouldn't freeze mashed potatoes.
Roasts in gravy, sliced.
Meatballs in sauce.
Noodle kugels

I usually freeze protein, soup and starchy sides. I make the veggies fresh.

I freeze mashed potatoes but they have to be very fattening for it to work. I use stock, pareve half and half, pareve sour cream etc. It wont work at all if you make them more plain.

Rice reheats well when frozen.

Roasts, meatballs, meatloaf in pastry dough, cornedbeef, tounge all freeze well.
I dont care for frozen cooked chicken but plenty of others like it.

I have frozen cooked gefilte fish and it came out pretty well.
